President Donald Trump’s former Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino — who oversaw the deadly raids in Minnesota — has turned to selling deportation-themed whiskey after being forced out of the job.

Bovino, one of the most prominent figures associated with Trump’s hard-line immigration agenda, was forced out of his role as Border Patrol commander-at-large in January after federal agents shot and killed two American citizens in Minnesota.

Now retired, the 56-year-old is selling “Commander’s Choice” bourbon featuring a depiction of himself in uniform along with the phrases “deport them all” and “America first.” Each bottle costs $99 online.

“If that tells you my mindset right now, there it is for you,” Bovino told The Intelligencer.

Bovino said the idea for his own whisky came from when he was leading the federal immigration response, and officers under his command would get a drink together at night.

“Whiskey always seemed to be the drink of choice,” he said. “Somebody said, ‘We got to come up with a Border Patrol whiskey.’” And so he did.

Proceeds from the whiskey sales are currently going back into the business, though Bovino says he hopes to connect with a non-profit to help fund it going forward.

“An Angel Mom type thing, that’s what we’re looking at,” he said. “The folks who were killed by illegal aliens — definitely, that would be one of my No. 1s right there.”

Bovino was one of the most prominent figures associated with Trump’s mass deportation agenda, helping to lead enforcement operations in Minnesota, where he became known for aggressive and unorthodox measures, including using tear gas on crowds.

He also led Trump’s immigration crackdown in New Orleans and Chicago, where a judge ruled that he had lied in a deposition about being struck in the head with a rock to justify using tear gas on protesters.

Bovino was leading immigration enforcement in Operation Metro Surge in Minnesota when Trump demoted him and fired then-Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem following the killings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good by federal agents.

Earlier this year, Bovino also appeared to be exploring a 2028 presidential run.

The controversial figure is teaming up with his sister to produce the whiskey, telling Intelligencer that it took time to find a distiller willing to work with them.

“It was ‘Absolutely not, we are not touching you with a 1,000-foot pole,’” he told Intelligencer.

Eventually, they found Timber Creek Distillery in the Florida panhandle. So far, they have produced 384 bottles, which sell for $99 and ship directly to consumers’ doors.

“From our perspective, he’s just like anybody else,” Timber Creek co-founder Camden Ford told the outlet. “We like money, and to be honest, his notoriety is probably going to be as helpful as anything.”
