BUDAPEST, September 18. /TASS/. Hungary’s new government led by Peter Magyar intends to significantly reduce the dependence on Russian oil in the coming years by sourcing supplies from other countries, Hungarian Minister of Economy and Energy Istvan Kapitany said in an interview with the Telex internet media outlet.
"To this end, negotiations are underway with the Croatian side to fully use the Adria oil pipeline," he said, adding that relations between Hungary and Croatia are currently "much friendlier" than under Viktor Orban’s previous government.
The process of reducing dependence on Russian oil will take place in stages, the minister noted.
