Warning about consequences of Kaliningrad blockade not confrontational — Kremlin

MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Russia's warning regarding the consequences of potential attempts to blockade Kaliningrad is not a confrontational statement, Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

"The aforementioned letter and reports should not be viewed as a confrontational statement," he noted.

"Kaliningrad is an integral part of Russia; it is a very important region of Russia – its westernmost one. Essentially, the point is that Russia will undoubtedly ensure the security of this region in accordance with its legislation," he added.
