US continues to provide airstrike warnings to Ukraine — top diplomat

WASHINGTON, October 20. /TASS/. Washington continues to provide Ukraine with warnings of airstrikes, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.
"Perhaps there was an internal issue in terms of them being able to take the information that was being provided, and systemize it and react to it? That’s possible, we’re looking at it. Our understanding is that to the extent that happened on the 13th and on the 18th [of October], it was a technical matter. That was not the result of any sort of US directive not to provide advance warning of a strike. We are providing the same warnings to them now that we always have," Rubio told reporters during a visit to India.
Commenting on allegations from "somebody associated with the Ukrainian government" that people in Ukraine were dying because the US was denying Kiev information about airstrikes, the US secretary of state said: "That’s scandalous, that’s outrageous, that’s just simply not true, that’s not accurate."
Ukrainian Air Force Spokesman Yury Ignat said earlier that Ukraine had not received an intelligence warning about the first ballistic missile launch at 11:00 p.m. on October 18. However, Kiev received intelligence on subsequent launches, he added. Ignat also reported a similar incident on October 14.
