Ukraine solely responsible for all damage to Black Sea shipping — Lavrov

Ukraine is solely responsible for damage to shipping in the Black Sea, including damage to Western commercial companies, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a news conference following his participation in the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

"Name at least one case when commercial vessels operating in your (Western — TASS) interests have been targeted by Russian strikes. That is where the conversation ends. There are no such cases. All damage to commercial shipping is caused by Ukrainian terrorist attacks. And not only in the Black Sea, but also in the Caspian Sea — the Caspian Pipeline Consortium," Lavrov said, responding to criticism of Russia by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul during their meeting at the UN.
