Russia ready to continue close cooperation with Serbian leadership — Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW, September 29. /TASS/. Russia is ready to continue close cooperation with Serbia's leadership and expects continuity in bilateral ties to strengthen peace and stability in the Balkans, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement on Serbia's snap parliamentary and presidential elections.

"We reaffirm our readiness to continue close and substantive cooperation with the Serbian leadership on all matters on the bilateral, regional and international agenda. Our relations draw strength from longstanding fraternal traditions, a similar worldview and respect for genuine values. We are confident that continuity in our ties will serve the national interests of both countries and help strengthen peace and stability in the Balkans," she said.
