The holdout juror who blocked Lindsay Clancy from being acquitted of killing her three children said he had no doubt she was guilty in his first TV interview since the bombshell trial.
Michael Desronvil was the only juror who opposed clearing Clancy of criminal responsibility, siding with prosecutors who argued that she knew what she was doing.
Speaking on Fox & Friends on Thursday, Desronvil said that he was struck by Clancy’s “thought process” during the killings. He said he thought she was very “methodical” while strangling her children.
Clancy’s defense argued that she was gripped by a rare condition called postpartum psychosis when she strangled her kids.
“The focus has to be on the children,” Desronvil said. “They are the ones who don’t have anyone fighting for them.”
Clancy’s case ended in a mistrial in early September after intense public interest. The children’s murders drew renewed attention to maternal mental health after childbirth.

After the mistrial, the judge in her murder case refused to declare her not guilty, rejecting the defense’s claim that there wasn’t enough evidence to prove she was responsible for killing her three children.
Prosecutors haven’t yet said if they will put Clancy on trial for a second time. They could retry her on first-degree murder charges, seek lesser charges or drop the case entirely.
As of now, Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse, is still charged with murder and is expected to stay at a psychiatric hospital until her case is resolved.
Her ex-husband Patrick Clancy, who found the children’s bodies, has said in interviews that he forgives her. He revealed in a 60 Minutes interview in September that he and his new wife, a fertility doctor, are starting a new family and plan on sharing the memories of his lost children with their future brothers or sisters.
