Europe aids Ukrainian armed forces due to current inability to fight Russia — expert

MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. The European military-industrial complex is incapable of rapidly producing and supplying weapons to troops in the event of a hypothetical conflict with Russia; consequently, the EU is seeking to prolong the conflict in Ukraine, Alexey Chadayev, an unmanned aviation expert and CEO of the Ushkuynik Research and Production Center, said.
"In wartime, you must be able to produce weapons quickly, in large quantities, at low cost and to a high standard, and then supply them to the army. Europe lacks this capability. Given its position and circumstances, it is therefore banking on one thing: that the Russia-Ukraine conflict continues for as long as possible and that Ukraine manages to hold out for some more time," he said at the 5th foresight forum, titled "The Special Military Operation and World War III."
Chadayev emphasized that, in an effort to delay a direct confrontation with Russia, European countries are prepared to provide the Ukrainian armed forces with "everything they can – and even things they technically cannot."
On September 18, the European Union transferred €3.3 billion to Ukraine. The funds are earmarked for the procurement of missiles and drones.
