US testing counter-drone tech at Mexico border as cartel drone use rises

The US Army is testing counter-drone technology along the US-Mexico border area, seeking to sharpen its defenses against the growing threat of drone use by cartels.
Brigadier General Brian Filler said the military is detecting commercial surveillance drones, with launches often followed by movement across the border.
Brigadier General Matt Ross said that the testing seeks to emulate Ukraine’s rapid innovation, adding that the US should focus on “replicating that process.”
