Ukrainian drones injure 4, spark fires at 3 civilian infrastructure sites in south Russia

MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. Air defenses intercepted and destroyed 254 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions and the Black and Azov Seas during the past night, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported.

Four people, including three children were injured in a drone attack on the Voronezh Region, while a massive Ukrainian drone attack triggered fires at three civilian infrastructure sites in three districts of the Krasnodar Region in southern Russia.

TASS has compiled key details about the impact.

– Between 8 p.m. Moscow time on September 27 and 8 a.m. on September 28 (5 p.m. – 5 a.m. GMT – TASS), air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 254 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian regions, the Defense Ministry said.

– Namely, drones were downed over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Smolensk, Kaluga, Tula, Kursk, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Tambov, Ryazan, Oryol, Saratov, Rostov, Moscow, and Krasnodar regions, the Republic of Crimea, and the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea, the ministry specified.

– Air defenses downed 21 Ukrainian drones over 10 municipalities in the Kaluga Region, Governor Vladislav Shapsha wrote on Max channel.

– On Sunday night and Monday morning, air defenses detected and destroyed some 20 drones over Voronezh and six municipalities around the city, Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev said in a post on Max channel.

– Last night, air defenses destroyed 11 Ukrainian drones over the Tula Region, according to Governor Dmitry Milyayev.

– Overnight, air defenses destroyed nine Ukrainian drones over the Oryol Region, Governor Andrey Klychkov wrote on Max channel.

– As a result of a drone attack on the Voronezh Region, four people, including three children were injured, Governor Alexander Gusev said in a Max post.

– A little girl born in 2022 and a boy born in 2019 have been hospitalized in serious condition.

– A teenager born in 2015 was given medical assistance at the scene.

– A woman born in 1989 was taken to hospital in moderate condition.

– A summer house and three garages, including one with a car inside, were destroyed by fire as drone debris fell in Voronezh.

– Also, the windows and roofs of multiple residential buildings and private homes and several cars were damaged in the city and surrounding areas.

– No injuries have been reported after damage to the windows and a fence around a private home was reported in a locality in the Novomoskovsk municipality in the Tula Region, Governor Dmitry Milyayev wrote on Max.

– Two private homes were damaged in the Krasnaya Zorya district in the Oryol Region, with no injuries, according to Governor Andrey Klychkov.

– Three civilian infrastructure sites caught fire in the Dinskaya, Pavlovskaya and Krasnoarmeisky districts in the Krasnodar Region as a result of a massive Ukrainian drone attack, the southern Russian region’s operational headquarters reported via Telegram.

– No one has been reported injured.

– The Ukrainian army injured four civilians in a drone attack on a healthcare facility in Donetsk, Mayor Alexey Kulemzin wrote on Max channel.

– Namely, a woman born in 1949, and three men born in 1956, 1971 and 1994 were injured in the overnight drone attack, he specified.

– The roof, facade and windows of the clinic were damaged in the attack.
