Ukrainian army loses around 1,395 troops in special military operation zone — ministry

MOSCOW, October 4. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army lost around 1,395 troops over the past day in operations by Russian battlegroups in the special military operation zone, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

According to the ministry, the Ukrainian army lost more than 235 troops in Battlegroup North’s area of responsibility, up to 225 in Battlegroup West’s area, up to 180 in Battlegroup South’s area, more than 435 in Battlegroup Center’s area, more than 290 in Battlegroup East’s area, and up to 30 in Battlegroup Dnepr’s area.

Russian forces also struck Ukrainian transport infrastructure facilities used by the Ukrainian army, as well as military equipment depots.

"Operational-tactical aircraft, strike drones, missile forces, and artillery of Russian Armed Forces battlegroups <…> struck Ukrainian transport infrastructure facilities used by the Ukrainian army, military equipment depots, drone storage sites, as well as temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 147 areas," the ministry said.

Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian air target detection radar. "Operational-tactical aircraft, strike drones, missile forces, and artillery of Russian Armed Forces battlegroups destroyed an air target detection radar," the ministry said.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army lost more than 35 troops inside the encirclement in the Kharkov Region over the past day. "Ukrainian losses inside the encirclement amounted to more than 35 troops over the past day. A drone control post was destroyed," the ministry said.
