Natalie Harp, a special assistant to President Donald Trump, is part of Washingtonian magazine’s biennial ranking of the capital’s most powerful women — listed more prominently than First Lady Melania Trump, second lady Usha Vance and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
On Wednesday, the monthly magazine released its “Most Powerful Women in Washington” list, recognizing 300 women in politics, business, media and other fields. Harp, 35, was included in the “national politics” category.
Harp’s duties reportedly include printing materials for Trump — earning her the nickname “human printer” — and helping manage his Truth Social account.
In recent months, she has drawn public scrutiny over her reported influence in Trump’s orbit and her apparent fervent devotion to the president, including reports that she wrote him a letter saying: “You are all that matters to me.”
“If one measure of power in Washington is proximity to the President, few rival Natalie Harp, the White House aide known for her Zelig-like presence by Trump’s side, including on his clandestine flight out of Turkey in July,” the magazine wrote.
Harp was the only woman in the “national politics” section whose entry included a photograph. Melania Trump, Usha Vance and Susie Wiles were listed without photos. Others featured in the broader package included Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Sen. Lisa Murkowski and AARP CEO Myechia Minter-Jordan.
Commenters on Washingtonian’s Instagram page quickly zeroed in on Harp’s selection.
“Lawyer, CEO, Ivy League and someone whose full time job is printing papers…,” wrote one user. Another added: “Incredibly powerful and accomplished women. And then there’s Natalie Harp.”
“To go from someone as incredible as Myechia Minter-Jordan to Natalie Harp is wild stuff,” a third user chimed in.
Other replies defended the list and its inclusion of women across the political spectrum.
“All powerful and impressive women, let’s not knock women who are successful ladies just because they don’t have the same political views as you,” one commenter wrote. “Time to embrace women of power no matter.”

“We realize some of the names are lightning rods—highly partisan women in highly partisan times,” the magazine wrote. “There are MAGA-aligned women as well as those who fight the Trump agenda every day. We don’t mean to lift up either side or pass judgment on anyone’s accomplishments. We’re simply shining a light on the women wielding power…”
The White House has come out in defense of Harp on multiple occasions in recent months.
“Natalie Harp is a beloved White House Official, and the Fake News Media will never understand what it’s like to be as trusted and admired as her,” a White House spokesperson previously told The Independent.
