Russian stocks up as main trading session opens

MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. Russia’s MOEX and RTS indices added 0.58% to 2,325.76 and 868.1 points, respectively, as the main trading session started on Thursday, according to trading data as of 9:00 a.m. Moscow time (6:00 a.m. GMT). The yuan exchange rate against the ruble lost 3.35 kopecks compared to previous closing to 12.6675 rubles.
By 9:30 a.m. Moscow time (6:30 a.m. GMT), the indices had extended gains to 0.94% reaching 2,233.92 and 871.16 points, respectively. Meanwhile, the yuan exchange rate was down by 2.8 kopecks at 12.673 rubles.
The MOEX Index with additional IMOEX2 ticker grew by 0.75% as morning trading session started on the Moscow Exchange as of 7:00 a.m. Moscow time (4:00 a.m. GMT) to 2,329.53 points.
