Russian stock market accelerates gains to over 1.8%

MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. The Russian stock market rose by more than 1.8% during the main trading session, according to Moscow Exchange data.

The MOEX Russia and RTS indices gained 0.52% at the opening of the main trading session, reaching 2,269.76 and 847.29 points, respectively, according to trading data as of 9:00 a.m. Moscow time.

By 4:41 p.m. Moscow time, the MOEX Russia Index had accelerated its gains to reach 2,300.06 points, up 1.86%, exceeding 2,300 points for the first time since September 16, 2026. The RTS Index stood at 861.6 points, also up 1.86%.
