Russia faced external difficulties during legislative polls — Putin

MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. During its recent legislative polls, Russia had to counter obstacles created from abroad, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with the head of the country’s Central Election Commission (CEC), Ella Pamfilova.

At the beginning of the meeting, Putin said that the elections had taken place across all of Russia’s 89 constituent entities.

"This huge task involved not only organizing everything related to the voting process, it also entailed the need to overcome difficulties engineered against us from abroad, and it was associated with risk," Putin said.
