Pakistan to send its first astronaut to China’s space station

Two Pakistani pilots are undergoing centrifuge drills and training for life in weightlessness as Pakistan prepares to select its first astronaut for China’s Tiangong space station. The mission would be a first for Pakistan and reflects wider space cooperation with Beijing, including Chinese-launched Pakistani satellites and a Pakistani rover planned for China’s Chang’e 8 lunar mission around 2028.
