Lukashenko invites Xi to visit Belarus in 2027

MINSK, October 1. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Chinese leader Xi Jinping on National Day of the Republic of China and invited him to pay an official visit to Belarus next year.

According to Lukashenko’s press service, ahead of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Lukashenko reiterated his invitation to Xi to pay an official visit to Belarus next year. "Your visit will lend special significance to the anniversary and mark the beginning of a new phase in Belarusian-Chinese relations," he emphasized.

According to Lukashenko, Minsk highly values Beijing’s consistent course on the international arena that is geared toward maintaining global stability. "Under your leadership, China is moving confidently toward the comprehensive rejuvenation of the great Chinese nation, demonstrating impressive successes in developing new-quality productive forces, strengthening technological sovereignty, and modernizing the economy," Lukashenko said in a congratulatory message.

He stressed that relations between the two countries are at an unprecedented level, with Minsk and Beijing engaging in intensive political dialogue. "Along with growing trade, investment cooperation is expanding, and industrial cooperation projects of great importance to our countries are being implemented. The intensification of humanitarian and cultural exchanges also underscores the strength of our all-weather strategic partnership," he noted and wished the Chinese leader good health and wellbeing, and happiness and prosperity to the Chinese people.
