MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. The Kashchey interceptor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which uses artificial intelligence technology and is available in day and night variants, has been unveiled for the first time at the Security Space international exhibition in Moscow, Ildar Almazov, founder of Zashchita ot Dronov (Drone Defense), told TASS.
"Here we are presenting the Kashchey interceptor drone. This is a completely new product. It comes in several versions – five-and seven-inch models. The maximum speed of both versions is 320 km/h. They can be adapted for both night and day operations. The Kashchey uses artificial intelligence technologies that allow the interceptor to fly fully autonomously, even in the presence of enemy electronic warfare systems. It effectively intercepts targets flying at speeds of up to 220 km/h. The seven-inch version can be fitted with a 400-gram warhead," he said.
The company representative added that the drone can stay in the air for eight minutes at top speed. The UAV’s maximum operating altitude is four kilometers.
In addition, Almazov noted that the Kashchey is already in use among several private security firms and major companies in the oil refining sector.
The international exhibition Security Space: Systems, Technologies, Solutions is taking place from October 21-23 at VDNKh, Pavilion No. 20. It is a key platform for networking and showcasing solutions in commercial and infrastructure security. It brings together manufacturers, integrators, developers, government officials, and major clients to bolster the country’s technological sovereignty, Roscongress Foundation Board Chairman and CEO Alexander Stuglev noted.
