Iranian army seizes second US underwater drone in Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN, September 27. /TASS/. The Iranian Navy has intercepted a US Remus 600 autonomous underwater vehicle in the Strait of Hormuz, which is the second such US drone to be captured by the Iranian military, the army stated.

"During a complex operation involving electronic warfare and intelligence data, Iranian Navy servicemen were able to intercept a state-of-the-art US military drone conducting espionage activities in the Strait of Hormuz. The Remus 600-class underwater vehicle has been taken as a trophy and is now in the hands of specialists for data extraction," the statement said.
