German dissatisfaction with Chancellor Merz’s performance continues to rise — poll

BERLIN, October 3. /TASS/. Only one in six Germans – 15% – views the performance of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz positively, according to a poll conducted by the INSA polling institute on behalf of the Bild newspaper.
Compared to a similar poll in early September, Merz's approval rating has fallen by 1 percentage point. The share of those dissatisfied rose by 2 percentage points to 79%. Another 6% were undecided.
Only 14% of respondents view the German government's performance positively (down 3 percentage points), while 79% are dissatisfied with the cabinet's work (up 1 percentage point). Another 7% were unable to give an answer.
The poll, conducted on October 1-2, surveyed 1,001 people.
