At least 400 people detained across France during unrest on October 17

PARIS, October 17. /TASS/. France’s law enforcement agencies detained at least 400 people while dispersing rallies organized as part of nationwide protests against price growth, French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez told reporters.
"By now, 400 people have been detained, but these are only preliminary figures," he said.
He added that most of the detainees were grown-ups and pledged to hold responsible those involved in looting, violence and vandalism.
