MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. A US-registered NATO reconnaissance aircraft has been spotted again over the neutral waters of the Black Sea, a source in air traffic control services told TASS, noting that this is the aircraft’s first flight in the area since the beginning of the week.

"The Bombardier ARTEMIS II reconnaissance aircraft has been spotted again over the neutral waters of the Black Sea, where it is flying from west to east and back in the southern part of the water area," the source said. He noted that the aircraft is flying at an altitude of about 10 km, without using the civil aviation flight routes and without entering the airspace of any country.

The source recalled that this aircraft is permanently based at the airfield in Constanta, Romania, from where it typically takes off on weekdays for operating in the areas over the Black Sea, the Baltic states, or near the Kaliningrad Region. He also emphasized that the aircraft had already flown over the Black Sea last week. On Wednesday, October 7, it was accompanied by a Swedish Air Force Gulfstream S102B Korpen radar intelligence aircraft, which was flying a similar route.

The source noted in this regard that in late July, the Bombardier ARTEMIS II set a sort of record by remaining over the Black Sea for nine hours.
