Several countries show interest in Russia’s Supercam S180 recon UAV — developer

BAKU, October 1. /TASS/. A number of foreign countries are interested in purchasing the latest Russian Supercam S180 reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), Unmanned Systems Group Spokeswoman Yekaterina Zgirovskaya told TASS at the ADEX 2026 International Defense Exhibition in Baku.

"There is interest from foreign buyers in the Supercam S180 project, and we are receiving inquiries, while commercial proposals are being submitted to potential customers for consideration. For now, foreign countries are taking a closer look at it, as the product is new. It still needs to build up a certain track record during the special military operation so that the audience can fully assess its capabilities," she said.

According to Zgirovskaya, Supercam S180 operators point to the high resolution of its onboard camera’s sensor. "Those who use it note the camera’s high-resolution sensor, which captures objects in great detail, as well as the possibility to view photos in near real time," she said.

She added that the Supercam S180’s effectiveness has been confirmed by the results of successful testing at the Rubicon Test Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies in real combat conditions. According to her, the system met all of its stated tactical and technical specifications.

The ADEX 2026 International Defense Exhibition is being held from September 30 to October 2 in Baku.
