Russia earmarks over $48.05 bln for national security in 2027

MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. More than 4 trillion rubles ($48.05 bln) is planned to be allocated for national security and law enforcement in 2027, according to the explanatory note to the draft federal budget for 2027-2029. The document has been posted in the electronic database of the lower house of parliament.

"Budget allocations under the section ‘National Security and Law Enforcement’ will total 4 trillion 286 bln 587.9 mln rubles in 2027, 4 trillion 421 bln 147.1 mln rubles in 2028, and 5 trillion 21 bln 294.9 mln rubles in 2029," the document said.

The expenditures include, among other things, funding for the operation of the Russian Armed Forces, national security and law enforcement agencies, troops, and other military formations, as well as salaries for prosecutors at territorial offices and employees of territorial offices of the Russian Investigative Committee.
