At least 17 people were killed in a shooting at a bar in South Africa‘s Gauteng late on Saturday, police have said.
Police have launched a manhunt to find eight armed men following the deadly shooting at the bar in Wedela township southwest of Johannesburg.
All 17 people, including three women, were shot and killed at the bar, the police said. Emergency medical services declared all victims dead at the scene.
Police said “suspects were reportedly armed with AK-47 rifles and pistols” and the motive behind the shooting was unknown.
Fifteen others suffered gunshot wounds and were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
