According to the newspaper, the software malfunction could lead to a failure of the automated navigation system and potentially pose a safety risk during landing. The glitch emerged following a cockpit software update. The issue may manifest if the aircraft alters its planned flight path during a go-around maneuver.
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told the newspaper that it is reviewing information regarding the glitch.
