UNITED NATIONS, September 26. /TASS/. Many analysts say Europe is trying to create a Fourth Reich, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a news conference following his participation in the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

"Europe is showing this trend not only through its open support for Nazism in Ukraine, but also through what I said in my speech. German Chancellor [Friedrich] Merz said that our goal is to make Germany the leading military power in Europe again. He did not misspeak. He repeated it several times. Does he understand the meaning of the word ‘again’ in this context? He repeated it several times on different occasions. Not to mention that all memory of those who defeated Nazism is being erased from textbooks and through the removal of monuments in a number of European countries," he said.

"So this is a very dangerous trend that allows many analysts to say that we are now seeing an attempt to create a Fourth Reich," Lavrov stressed.
