Coal supplies for Russia’s electric power industry to increase by almost 30% by 2050

MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. Coal supplies for Russia’s electric power industry are expected to increase by almost 30% by 2050, according to the revised program for the coal sector's development through 2050 greenlighted by the government.
"Russian coal supplies for the domestic power sector will increase by almost 30%," the document reads.
In 2024, such coal supplies amounted to 95.4 mln tons, according to the program. They are expected to reach 90-100 mln tons by 2030, and 85-125 mln tons by 2050.
