EU decides not to renew sanctions against three individuals, one entity

BRUSSELS, September 22. /TASS/. The Council of the European Union has decided not to renew anti-Russian sanctions against three individuals and one entity, as well as to remove three deceased persons from the list, according to a statement by the European institution.

"In the context of the sanctions’ review, the Council also decided not to renew the listings of three individuals and one entity, as well as to remove three deceased persons from the list," the statement said.

Reuters reported earlier that, amid pressure from France and Luxembourg, the permanent representatives of EU member states had agreed to lift sanctions against Russian businessmen Alisher Usmanov and Mikhail Fridman.
