Oil production on Russian shelf to reach 23 mln tons this year — ministry

MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Oil production on the Russian shelf may reach 23 mln tons this year, while gas production could total 53 bln cubic meters, with projected output levels for 2027 expected to remain the same, the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment told TASS.
"In accordance with technical design documentation for development of fields, projected production levels on the continental shelf will amount to 23 mln tons of oil and 53 bln cubic meters of gas in 2026, while projected production levels for 2027 are expected to remain at the same level," the ministry said.
All in all, there are 75 oil and gas fields on the Russian shelf, with production already underway at 20 of them.
