Russian air defenses take down dozens of Moscow-bound drones

MOSCOW, September 20. /TASS/. Dozens of drones have been taken down while approaching Moscow in less than an hour, the Russian capital’s Mayor Sergey Sobyanin wrote on his channel on the Max messenger.

"The Defense Ministry’s air defense forces repelled an attack by 14 Moscow-bound drones," he wrote at around 3:20 a.m. Moscow time (12:20 a.m. GMT). "First responders are working in areas where fragments fell."

Later, the mayor issued a series of similar statements saying that groups of 20, 27 and 15 drones have been destroyed.
