Russia, Iran must prevent Kiev from causing problems by hitting Caspian region — first VP

DUSHANBE, October 19. /TASS/. Kiev is stoking instability in northern Iran through its attacks on the Caspian region, which is vital for food supplies. Moscow and Tehran must not allow this to undermine their relations, Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"Grain and food supplies are of particular importance for the development of our relations," he said. "Ukraine has caused some instability in this region, in the north of our country."

"We must not allow this country to achieve its goals and create problems and obstacles in ties between our two countries," Aref stressed.
