Price of Russian diesel for US subject to commercial negotiations — Novak

MOSCOW, October 15. /TASS/. The price of Russian diesel fuel for the US market is a matter of commercial negotiations, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week (REW) forum.
"This is a subject of commercial negotiations," Novak said, when asked whether diesel prices for the US would be based on market benchmarks or include a discount.
Answering a question about a potential license extension beyond April 2027, the deputy prime minister noted: "No such talks are underway at the moment. As for an extension, it is probably too early to say. We will see how the situation develops."
Novak also stressed that only diesel supplies are currently being discussed, with no negotiations on other commodities taking place.
Earlier, Novak told TASS that Russia was immediately lifting restrictions on diesel exports ahead of schedule, noting that the country is a key supplier of the fuel to the global market. Russia is ready to supply additional diesel volumes to the US market and all partners – 300,000 tonnes in October, rising to 500,000 tonnes in November and 1 million tonnes in December, with potential volumes reaching up to 3.5 million tonnes per month in the future.
The Russian Energy Week international forum is being held in Moscow on October 14-16, supported by the Russian government, the Ministry of Energy, and the Moscow city government. The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation, with TASS serving as the forum's information partner.
