Eight adults in Kentucky face charges after seven children – as young as a one-year-old – were removed from a home authorities described as “very filthy and deplorable” following an extensive child abuse investigation.

A search of a home in Richmond, about 30 miles south of Lexington, revealed feces smeared on floors, stairs, and other surfaces throughout the residence, FOX 56 reported.

The Richmond Police Department wrote in arrest citations that the home was in what they described as “very filthy and deplorable condition.”

Authorities said that the smell of feces and urine was also present in the home.

The investigation uncovered extensive abuse allegations, including human trafficking, rape and incest.
