IN BRIEF: Yandex services recovering amid attacks on datacenters

MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. Services of the Russian technology company Yandex are gradually recovering after the failure, the company’s press service told TASS.

TASS collected key points about server operations.

– Russian users noted the failure in functioning of Yandex products on October 11.

– The engineers are gradually restoring access to search, Alisa AI assistant, mail, maps, taxi, and other services.

– Some functions still remain inaccessible, Yandex noted.

– The exact timing for restoration of equipment functioning in datacenters is very difficult to be indicated.

– Records of customers’ account were not affected by the failure.

– Yandex agreed upon the expedited accommodation of client data and services with cloud providers VK Cloud, Selectel and K2Cloud after drone attacks.

– Additional teams of professionals were allocated and flexible financial terms were offered, Yandex said.

– On October 8, Yandex informed about the fire in the Sasovo datacenter (Ryazan Region) after the drone attack.

– Infrastructure of the corporate datacenter in Kaluga was damaged in part on October 9 after the drone attack.

– Yandex datacenter in Vladimir fully stopped functioning due to the drone attack on October 11.
