Russian government partially lifts diesel export ban following Putin-Trump agreements

MOSCOW, October 10. /TASS/. The Russian government has partially lifted the country’s ban on diesel exports following agreements reached by the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, the cabinet said in a statement.
"The government has decided to partially lift Russia’s ban on diesel exports. The decision is aimed at implementing the agreements reached by Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. It takes effect on October 10, allowing 500,000 metric tons of diesel fuel to be supplied to the global market at this stage," the statement reads.
Russian oil companies will immediately begin contracting diesel exports in coordination with the government, the cabinet said in a statement.
"Pursuant to the decision, Russian oil companies will immediately begin contracting diesel fuel supplies with foreign counterparties in coordination with the government," the statement reads.
