MINSK, October 9. /TASS/. Minsk reserves the right to respond to Kiev’s provocations and calls on it to refrain from actions leading to escalation, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said following a Ukrainian drone attack on a Belarusian-registered truck in Russia’s borderline Bryansk Region.
"The Ukrainian side was warned against repeating such actions. It was stressed that responsibility for their consequences rests entirely on the Ukrainian authorities. Belarus reserves the right to adequate response. The Belarusian side called to stop provocations leading to escalation," it wrote on its Telegram channel.
Governor of Russia’s Bryansk Region Yegor Kovalchuk said on October 8 that on Thursday Ukrainian drones attacked two moving cars on the Bryansk-Novozybkov motor road near the village of Smotrov. The driver of one of the vehicles and a woman passenger of another vehicle were wounded. The woman is a Belarusian national. According to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, the woman sustained severe injuries and needed surgery, including the amputation of her limbs.
