Most Americans blame Trump administration policies for rising prices — poll

WASHINGTON, October 9. /TASS/. About 78% of US citizens hold President Donald Trump’s administration responsible for prices rising faster than household incomes, according to a poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos.

According to the survey, 64% of Republicans, 95% of Democrats and 76% of independent voters blame the White House for rising prices, while about two-thirds (68%) of all respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the level of inflation.

Commenting on the poll results, the White House said the president had managed to address the previous period’s inflation crisis by cutting taxes and lowering the cost of prescription drugs.

The online poll was conducted over six days and concluded on October 5. A total of 4,506 US adults took part.
