KURSK, October 7. /TASS/. Mobile fire teams of the BARS-Kursk brigade of Battlegroup North are training to shoot down drones using real UAVs, Company Commander and Senior Training Group Instructor with the call sign Magellan told TASS.

"Our volunteers are training directly, meaning we are killing two birds with one stone: the targets are aerial targets for us, while pilots are also training, with some learning to fly fixed-wing UAVs," the source said, adding that the drones are launched at different angles and from different directions to simulate flights by the Ukrainian army.

Magellan said anti-aircraft machine gunners are being trained for air surveillance posts and mobile fire teams. "Today they are having practical fire training, with some drones shot down and hits recorded. The guys are doing a great job; they see their mistakes, so we discuss them, and they review them during breaks between drone launches," the company commander added.
