US, Iran continue Qatar-brokered consultations — Qatari Foreign Ministry

DOHA, October 6. /TASS/. The United States and Iran continue Qatar-mediated contacts to discuss issues of mutual concern, Qatari Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ibrahim Sultan al-Hashmi said.

"Contacts continue, they have never stopped. Visits continue, and at this point they are geared toward making progress that can be relied upon [in the future]," he told a briefing.

When asked about the Iranian interior minister’s visit to Doha and Qatar’s potential proposal on the Iranian nuclear program, the diplomat said that the ongoing consultations "cover all the issues of concern for both sides."
