Kiev loses up to 10,000 troops, mercenaries over week — military expert

LUGANSK, October 5. /TASS/. Ukraine has lost more than 9,900 servicemen and mercenaries in the special military operation zone over the past week, military expert Andrey Marochko stated.

"The enemy’s combat and non-recoverable losses totaled nearly 9,955 Ukrainian militants and mercenaries, which is 515 more than in the previous reporting period. Russia’s battlegroup Center, operating in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Dnepropetrovsk region, inflicted the greatest manpower losses on the Ukrainian armed forces," the expert wrote in a post on his VKontakte page after analyzing the Russian Defense Ministry’s reports.

Marochko added that Russian servicemen destroyed approximately 5,000 Ukrainian drones, 17 vessels, 74 armored combat vehicles, two Grad multiple-launch rocket systems, 36 field artillery guns, 31 electronic warfare and counter-battery stations, and nearly 600 enemy vehicles over the past week.
