A massive search is underway in the Atlantic Ocean after a medical plane vanished while traveling from Bermuda to Boston.
The plane was traveling from L.F. Wade International Airport to Boston’s Logan International Airport with six people on board. The names of the passengers and crew have not been released.
A search and rescue notice for the Gulfstream G-100 aircraft was issued around 1:20 a.m. Saturday.
The search is “off the coast of Nantucket,” according to the Coast Guard and reported by NBC 10. The Federal Aviation Administration and the Rescue Coordination Center are assisting in the effort.

The aircraft is owned by Latitude Air Ambulance of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, the station reported.
Latitude has been operating medical flights since 2009, according to the company. Its Gulfstream jets are equipped with full ICU supplies, patient stretchers and can travel over 3,000 miles.
No further information about search efforts has been released.
