Drone crashes into apartment block in Russia’s Volga area, one hospitalized

VOLGOGRAD, October 2. /TASS/. One of the Ukrainian drones that tried to attack industrial sites in Russia’s Volga area city of Volgograd, crashed into an apartment building there, sparking a fire and injuring at least one person, Volgograd Region Governor Andrey Bocharov said.

"As a result of tonight’s massive drone attack on industrial infrastructure in the Volgograd Region, a fire broke out in an apartment building," the regional administration’s press service quoted him as saying. "One victim was admitted to hospital. The fire has been contained. First responders are working at the scene."

Residents of the damaged building have been evacuated to a temporary shelter, where they will be offered hot meals and a place to sleep.
