Ukrainian fighters covertly abandoning positions in Zaporozhye region — military expert

LUGANSK, September 27. /TASS/. Ukrainian fighters are covertly abandoning their positions in the Zaporozhye region after their main units were destroyed by Russian troops, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.

"Ukrainian servicemen in the Zaporozhye sector are covertly abandoning their positions and transferring to other units. Generally, this is due to scattered detachments joining up with fellow troops after their main units were destroyed by the Russian army," he said.

According to him, this is primarily due to the intense fire Russian forces are directing at units stationed in the Zaporozhye region. As a result, these units lose their combat effectiveness, leading the Ukrainian command to decide to reinforce specific units with the remnants of troops from other units that had been routed along the contact line.
