Russia ready to share its best practices in culture, Putin says

ST. PETERSBURG, September 25. /TASS/. Russia is ready to share its effective practices in culture, such as the "Pushkin Card," Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum.

"Dear friends, Russia is always open to the closest cooperation in culture, including by offering its effective practices, such as, for example, the "Pushkin Card," the president said.

He noted that the digital model of the "Pushkin Card" can easily be adapted for any country by changing the denomination and the list of institutions while preserving the principle of direct access to cultural venues.

The "Pushkin Card" program was launched in September 2021. It aims to engage children and young people in the study of art and culture. The card allows Russians aged 14 to 22 to visit museums, theaters, cinemas, exhibitions, philharmonic halls and other cultural institutions free of charge, with the cost covered by the federal budget.

"Thus, [the program] integrates culture into the everyday lives of schoolchildren and students, giving them an opportunity to experience and comprehend its achievements through personal experience," the president said.
