Iran opposes restrictions on access to peaceful nuclear technology — Pezeshkian

UN, September 23. /TASS/. Iran believes that peaceful nuclear technology cannot be the exclusive preserve of a limited number of countries and intends to develop nuclear energy, President Masoud Pezeshkian has said.

"Iran does not accept restrictions on access to peaceful nuclear technology. Nuclear technology is also an inalienable right of the Iranian people to develop medicine, agriculture, industry, and sustainable energy. Iran's position is unequivocal: no to nuclear weapons, and no to being denied access to nuclear knowledge," he said in his address to the UN General Assembly.

Pezeshkian emphasized that the issue of Iran's nuclear program must be resolved not on the battlefield, but through a mutual agreement that guarantees the rights of the people and the peaceful nature of the program.
