Top Iranian diplomat hopes to meet with Lavrov on UNGA sidelines — ambassador to Russia

MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi hopes to meet with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali told TASS.

"We expect and hope that it (the meeting – TASS) will take place," the diplomat said, responding to a question about the prospects for such a meeting.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry’s International Organizations Department Director Kirill Logvinov said in an interview with TASS that Lavrov would take part in about 20 international meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
