Ex-Ukrainian soldiers fighting alongside Russians capture group of Ukrainian servicemen

DONETSK, September 23. /TASS/. Former Ukrainian soldiers serving alongside Russian troops in the Maxim Krivonos Battalion captured a group of Ukrainian servicemen in the Krasnoarmeysk area, the commander of the battalion’s reconnaissance group, a former Ukrainian special forces soldier with the call sign Borzy, told TASS.

"We received a task that an enemy group had been dropped off not far from us during the night. We were told to ‘storm’ them and, if possible, take as many of them prisoner as possible. We went in, surrounded them from both sides and captured them. They began surrendering, and we led them out," the commander said.

The Maxim Krivonos Battalion was formed three years ago from former Ukrainian servicemen.
