UN chief has long called for end to Ukraine conflict — spokesman

UN, September 23. /TASS/. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has been calling for a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine for a long time, official spokesman for the UN chief Stephane Dujarric told TASS, commenting on US President Donald Trump’s statement about the timeline for resolving the Ukraine crisis.
"The Secretary General has called for the end of the conflict in Ukraine for a long time-an end in line with UN resolutions, international law", he said.
Earlier on September 21, Trump stressed that it was important for Ukraine to try to achieve a settlement of the conflict with Russia before winter.
