Ukraine cannot win drone war — Russian expert

MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Ukraine will not be able to win a drone war because it has no incentive to develop inexpensive yet high-quality solutions and is focused solely on making money, Alexey Chadayev, an unmanned aircraft expert and CEO of the Ushkuynik Research and Production Center, told TASS.

"Ukraine is wasting a lot of money, often on nonsense. No matter how hard someone like [former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail] Fyodorov tries to achieve some kind of efficiency, ultimately it only leads to this: when people’s greed takes over, the only thing that happens is that Fyodorov gets ousted. "People make money," Chadayev said, answering a corresponding question.

The expert emphasized that Russian specialists work under different circumstances. "Russia has a vital need to be as fast, cost-effective, and capable of mass production as possible, while maintaining high quality. In this clash of socioeconomic or techno-economic systems, I believe we will ultimately prevail over Ukraine," Chadayev noted.
